ALBUQUERQUE RESIDENT RECEIVES NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP
Rachel Wilson, an Albuquerque resident, and student from the University of
New Mexico Anderson Schools of Management (ASM), has been named as a recipient
of a full, one-year national scholarship by the American Institute of Certified
Public Accountants (AICPA) Minority Initiatives Committee.
Wilson, a native of Mauston, Wis. and a graduate of Highland High School in
Albuquerque, was one of two recipients from the Anderson Schools of Management
to receive the scholarship. Its the second consecutive year Wilson was
selected to receive the scholarship. The junior is majoring in accounting and
finance. Marlena Torres, a Los Lunas resident, was the other recipient from
the Anderson Schools.
Wilson and Torres were among 200 students nationwide selected to receive the scholarship. The organization awarded more than $600,000 to students at schools across the country.
