Opening Day Ceremonies: Festivities will include a balloon lift-off, Parade of Eras pageant, artisan market, music and dance performances, children's activities and much more, Balloon FIesta Park.

Reading of Don Quixote: "Don Quixote," by Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra," has been named one of the 100 greatest novels. To celebrate the monumental achievement of Hispanic culture and encourage re(reading) of classical works, join President Louis Caldera, the Director of the Cervantes Institute, Joaquin Garrido, and others as they read a chapter from the book, noon to 8 p.m. on April 16 and 17, 1 - 7 p.m., on April 18, 19, 20, and 21 and 1 - 3:45 p.m. on April 22, Ortega Hall 335 and the third floor lounge, 277-7361.
