Parking lots to be paved beginning May 15
The parking lots at the corner of Lomas and Redondo (west of Human
Resources) and the lot at Girard and Central (south of the tennis
courts now the site of the new student residence center)
will be paved beginning on Monday, May 15 and will reopen on June
19. After the completion of those two lots, work on the lot at
the corner of Yale and Lomas (adjacent to ROTC) begin.
Staff Town Hall at SUB
Human Resources is presenting a Staff Town Hall today, Monday, May 8 from 3-5 p.m. in the SUB Ballrrom. Information on the staff salary schedule development and its updating will be discussed.
Youth summer theatre academies offered
The UNM Dept. of Theatre & Dance announces its summer academies. Theatre academies are offered for mid- and high- school students and a dance academy is offered for 5th to 8th graders. For more information, call 277-4332, email youthtd@unm.edu or visit www.unm.edu/~theatre/summer.
Library digitizing WIPP documents
The UNM General Library will be able to provide online access to Waste Isolation Pilot Project (WIPP) documents, thanks to Aristotle Digital Archiving Int'l. Aristotle is creating a CD ROM product of some of the 40 boxes of materials currently housed in Zimmerman Library's Government Information Dept. Eventually, the library plans to provide web access to those documents.
Legislature awards Rio Grande Project funds
The Rio Grande Collaborative Project, a component of the UNM School of Architecture and Planning, has been awarded $125,000 from the New Mexico State Legislature. This funding will allow the collaborative to continue their work to improve education in the South Valley community. Other UNM entities are also in the collaborative, as well as PNM, TVI and APS.
MBA Program accepting applications until June 1
The Executive MBA program at UNM's Anderson Schools of Management continues to accept applications for the 2000-02 EMBA class which begins this summer. Interested candidates have until June 1 to submit admissions materials. To get information packets with the required forms, call 277-2525.
