UNM Global Learning Community

Attention, U.S. and international students:
Are you interested in getting to know people from other countries? Do you want to learn about other cultures? Do you want to learn new skills that will help you live and work in a global economy? Do you want to make friends from other parts of the world? Do you want to live in an exciting and stimulating environment on the UNM campus?

If so, the Global Learning Community is for you. Twelve international students and twelve U.S. residents will be chosen to live together in a wing of Redondo Village Apartments, UNM's newest residence living units. Each Redondo Village suite has four bedrooms with high speed internet connections, and a common kitchen, dining and living area, and one bathroom. Each suite will be occupied by two U.S. students and two international students. You will have the chance to be involved in regular group activities and special programs to help learn about other cultures and share your own culture with others in the community. Activities will include film nights, international music events, preparing international meals, and many others. Community members can also get involved in many international and intercultural campus events, such as the weekly international social hour, the fall International Festival and Symposium, and many others.

To apply for the Global Learning Community:

Turn in your regular UNM Housing Application/Contract forms and deposit as soon as possible, but no later than July 1st to receive consideration.

2. Fill it out and E-mail it to: studyabd@unm.edu
3. Participants will be notified about their acceptance to the program by the end of July.
