Why Join the Night Shift at UNM?
- The President's Council of Economic Advisors (1996) tells
us that a person with a four-year college degree will earn
89% more in a lifetime than person with a high school
diploma.
- We now offer 40 degree programs at night (bachelors,
masters, and doctorates).
- 1,000 classes are offered each semester after 4 p.m.
- About 500 of these classes meet only once a week,
so they're convenient for you. About 11,500 non-traditional,
working students attend UNM at night each semester. You
can too. So join the Night Shift at UNM the largest
in the Rocky Mountain region.
Evening and Weekend Degree Programs was founded in 1987
by Dr. David E. Stuart to serve working adults in central
New Mexico.
UNM programs in the Colleges of Arts and Sciences, Business,
Fine Arts, Architecture, Education and Public Administration
programs are enriching the careers of thousands of New Mexico
residents. UNM offers 40 degree programs in seven colleges,
plus 37 minors and concentrations. Whether you are completing
your bachelor's, master's or Ph.D., UNM makes it convenient
for you to meet your goals while working during the day.
UNM offers approximately 1,000 evening (after 4 p.m.) and
Saturday classes each semester. The classes include more than
half of all graduate courses offered at UNM.
Approximately 11,500 of your neighbors, peers and colleagues
are currently enrolled as evening and Saturday students. Ninety
percent of these students work 20 hours per week or more.
Their average age is 32 and 62% are female.
