The ISNPS Charter

Provide specialized educational and research opportunities in basic and applied fields of the peaceful uses of nuclear energy in space and terrestrial applications including: space power and propulsion; static energy conversion; boiling and two-phase flow; thermal management;advanced fuel cycle; nuclear reactor design, thermal-hydraulics; and safety analysis; integrated system modeling and autonomous control, turbo-machinery design and modeling, shielding high-energy space radiation and its interaction with materials; nuclear fuel design and irradiation behavior; advanced cooling of high-power computer chips using immersion cooling of dielectric liquid, microchannels and microfluid heat transfer; and heat pipes and advanced radiator concepts.

Provide technical training to practicing scientists and engineers through offerings of short courses and specialized workshops and technical meetings.

Promote partnerships with industry and small business in applied technology, prototype development, and verification and proof of principle of promising concepts.
