Education: B.S. Nuclear Engineering, UNM, 2005.

Research Projects: The detection of radioactive material is very important for nuclear safety and national and homeland security.  Gamma spectrometers play a crucial part in both detecting and identifying of radioactive materials.  Tai’s research focus lies in improving current scintillation detector systems, through the development of new scintillation materials.  The research aims to both experimentally characterize the different scintillators fabricated by the materials synthesis group, as well as developing the simulation capabilities for the couple detector system.
