2007 HOPE SCHOLARSHIP

H.O.P.E. scholarship awards are intended to assist students toward attaining higher educational goals. The scholarship must be used solely for academic or vocational career purposes. AMERICAN DREAM SCHOLARSHIP
Deadline: April 15, 2007
The American Dream Scholarship is open to African-Americans with financial need. Applicants must be citizens or permanent residents, with a minimum 2.5 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) who met Pell Grant eligibility criteria, and are enrolled full-time at an approved, accredited, undergraduate institutions. Scholarships range from $500 to $5,000.

FIRST IN MY FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP

First in My Family Scholarship offers
scholarships to Hispanic Americans who are U.S. citizens or permanent
residents enrolled as full-time undergraduate students at approved,
accredited institutions. Students must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 (on
a 4.0 scale). Scholarships range from $500 to $5,000.

SALLIE MAE 911 EDUCATION FUND
Deadline: May 15, 2007
This fund was created in response to
the terrorist attacks on 9-11-01. It is open to children of those who were killed or permanently disabled as a result of the terrorist attacks, and who are enrolled as full-time undergraduate students at approved accredited institutions. Scholarship awards of up to $2500 per applicant, per school year, are available and may be renewed on
an annual basis, subject to satisfactory academic progress.

HISPANIC ASSOCIATION OF COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES' (HACU) 2007-2008 SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

HACU will have more than $300,000 available in scholarships for the upcoming academic year. As of February 2007, students are able to apply on line for HACU's scholarship program!

UNMET NEED SCHOLARSHIP
Deadline: May 31, 2007
The Unmet Need Scholarship is open to
families with a family adjusted gross income of $30,000 or less for the 2006 calendar year. This program is intended to supplement financial aid packages that fall more than $1,000 short of students' financial needs. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents who are accepted or enrolled as full-time undergraduate
students at approved, accredited institutions. Students must have a GPA of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale) to be eligible to apply. Scholarships range from $1,000 to $3,800.
