Middle Channel Sand Bar Relocation February 28

Current Opened Gate: #1, 2, and 17.

Gates #1, #2, and #17 lowered. Water level was slightly decreased 4995.05 ft upstream and 4993.75 ft downstream. South intake gate was opened, but the river flow could not enter into the intake channel because of lower water level.

Figure 1 shows panoramic view of the diversion dam downstream. Sand bars are not found right downstream of the diversion dam, but some of them are found at the far of the diversion dam (green circles). It seems that sand bars have been washed away and relocated downstream from the diversion dam.
