Current Opened Gates: Manually operated (gates #6, #9
(partial), and #14)
Gates were manually operated
to wash away sediment deposited through the fish passage. Water depth was increasing up to 4.0 ft and
then lowered 3.2 ft with gates opening
of #6, #9 (partial), and 14. According to Leonard, a gate operator, approximately
6 hours were taken to flush sediment (green circles, Figure 2 taken on 20-Apr).
Figure 3 shows after the
flushing taken on 23-Apr.
GPS reading and water depth
were in Table below. This calibration test
was done in the south intake bay. Water
depth was measured manually about 0.7 m.
GPS reading does
not still transferred to data
logger and computer.
