SS & Turbidity Sampling and Remote Boat Test - June 8

Current Opened Gates: Automatic for 3.5 ft water depth

Suspended sediment and turbidity samples at 5 different locations were taken by Sheila (URS) and Jake (WUA).

Water depth was set 3.5 ft with automatic gate operation and 2.82 ft water depth was shown in the PLC screen at 10:11 pm.

Three SS samples were taken at 5 locations (see sampling location map). Turbidity was measured with a field meter as shown in Figure 2.

Sonarlite echo sounder and GPS system have been checked by the Oceanscience and Seafloor staffs. This system was installed at the remote boat

and were tested GPS values lodging in the Sonarlite on 7 and 8-June.

However, the system is working still improperly. GPS data lodging was intermittent as shown in Figure 5, and GPS and Sonarlite were not working in same time.

When GPS data was receiving in Sonralite, echo sounding value (water depth) was missing.
