Remote Boat Channel Bed Elevation Survey - August 3

Current Opened Gates: Opened gates # 22 for East side survey and gates #1~4 for West side survey

With the sonar on the remote boat, channel bed elevation was surveyed. Echo sounder was not calibrated this morning caused by sediment deposition
on the concrete bed front of the Intake structure. East side of the channel was surveyed, while gate #22 were lowered.
Water depth was slightly varied 3.65 to 3.8 ft on PLC screen during this survey. Cross-sectional survey was extended to the sand bar located middle channel 
front of the vegetated island red circled in Figure 1. Each cross-sectional survey was approximately 11 ft apart from other section. 
Several longitudinal surveys were tried on east side channel up to the vegetated island. 
Figure 3 shows the distance from water surface to channel bottom. GIS processing results will be updated soon.
