Association For Business Research Bulletin

Mission

The Association for Business Research (ABR) was formed to further the educational, professional and social development of the students at the Anderson School of Management. In addition the ABR attempts to bring professors and students together, outside of the classroom setting, for presentations and discussions on a variety of business research topics.

Method

The ABR attempts to develop important skills in writing, research and overall professional by holding monthly presentations by Anderson Management professors on their current research interests. The initial structure is designed to highlight professional academic scholarship, and the overall practice of business research. Four presentations are planned for the spring semester of 2008. While the ABR focuses on professional business research, there are plans to incorporate professionals from the Albuquerque business community, as well as student presentations in the upcoming semesters.

The ABR format is designed to introduce and develop the understanding of Anderson students to the research interests of their professors. This format will provide Anderson students interested or involved with research projects with a window into the process of business research. In addition, the format provides a forum for students to discuss their own ideas with Anderson professors in an environment that encourages analysis and discussion.
