Welcome to the University of New Mexico! I am so pleased that you will be joining our outstanding and accomplished faculty. Your arrival on campus will continue to strengthen our departments and colleges across campus and contribute to continuing and new initiatives designed to advance the University’s research, teaching, and service missions. This is an exciting time to be joining UNM’s community.
To get you started, we have designed a two day orientation for new faculty. This year’s orientation is scheduled for Monday, August 12 from 8:00am to 6:00pm and Tuesday, August 13 from 8:30am to 5:00pm. The orientation introduces faculty at all stages of their careers to critical information, resources, and support services that are critical for your success. In addition, we are designing additional programming to be continued throughout the academic year and will provide you with additional opportunities to ask questions, network with other new faculty, and incorporate your interests and ideas to our ongoing discussion about UNM’s future.
To register for orientation and to contribute information for the 2013-2104 New Faculty webpage, please click below. After registering, take some time to explore the other tabs. Here you will find information regarding obtaining your UNM NetID, parking, links to Benefits, and much more.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Monica Pena in my office, email@example.com or one of the following five faculty Academic Leadership Fellows: Professors Yemane Asmerom(firstname.lastname@example.org) Melissa Bokovoy(email@example.com), Antoinette Sedillo-Lopez(firstname.lastname@example.org); Edl Schamiloglu(email@example.com); and Nancy Lopez(firstname.lastname@example.org) These faculty have helped put together this year’s NFO and can answer any questions you might have about the orientation.
I am looking forward to seeing you in August. Once again welcome to the University of New Mexico
