Welcome to the Academic Affairs portion of the website of the University of New Mexico-Valencia Campus! We are proud to be an open-access Branch Campus of the University of New Mexico, and as a teaching-centered institution, we profoundly understand our role to provide exemplary instruction, whether face-to-face, hybrid, or online, to students of all ages and backgrounds. We currently offer 18 degree programs and 16 certificate programs, and we continue to develop new cutting-edge programs, from Early Childhood Multicultural Education to Digital Media Arts and Game Design. Our curriculum development is predicated on preparing our students to be leaders and contributors into the middle and latter decades of the 21st century.
Although many of our students earn an associate’s degree then transfer to the UNM Main Campus, we define success in many other ways as well, accommodating certificate students, delivering dual enrollment curricula to students at five area high schools, and providing cultural “front-porch” events for the Valencia County community. We invite you to investigate this website, and please contact me or one of my faculty colleagues via email or telephone if you have any questions—we would be delighted to communicate more directly with you concerning your educational objectives.
Cordially,
Richard
