ABOUT AIBA

OUR MISSION

Our mission as the American Indian Business Association (AIBA) is to encourage and stimulate tribal economic development

AIBA strives toward guidance and opportunities for its members through regular open council meetings and numerous student support services.

OUR VISION

Our vision is to produce tomorrow's leaders by providing opportunities for our members to gain first hand business experiences in order to assume professional positions after graduation.  In addition, we aim to encourage and build capacity for tribal economic development by developing our American Indian student body.

THE HISTORY OF AIBA

Four aspiring business students at the Robert O. Anderson Schools of Management realizing the need for a support system for Native American students, created the American Indian Business Association (AIBA).  AIBA was established in 1994 by Michael Clani, Roberson Becenti, Katchee Mitchell, and Jaye Francis. The essential elements haven't changed much since the inception of AIBA; the goals and values remain the same. However, AIBA has acquired a " whole family" attitude.
