Field Programs allow Anthropology faculty and students to experience Anthropology beyond the classroom. UNM's Department of Anthropology offers several field schools (see below). Additional field schools (not associated with the Department) are also posted.
UNM Field Schools
The Department of Anthropology offers a number of exciting field programs each year. Most of these programs are in the summer and provide between 5-and-8 weeks of full-time instruction in archaeological or anthropological methods. UNM anthropoogy students have an excellent record of obtaining professional employment as well as going on to graduate study. Enrollment in these field programs is limited! We encourage you to check back often for updated information. We strongly encourage applications from groups under-represented in the sciences, and in particular Native Americans and Native Hawaiian students.
