The Anthropology undergraduate program offers three different concentrations: Archaeology,
Biological Anthropology, Ethnology/Linguistics. Information about each concentration and the courses required to earn a degree
are listed below. Archaeology
(36 Credits)
Students must also take one additional course from each of three groups (A, B, C) for a total of at least 9 credits:
Anth 420 may be applied to the above groups, depending on topic. In addition, a student must complete one additional core sequence within anthropology, plus an elective from a third sub-fields, plus elective credits to complete the minimum of 36 credits in anthropology.
Biological Anthropology (36 Credits)
In addition, a student must complete one additional core sequence within anthropology, plus an elective from a third sub-field, plus elective credits to complete the minimum of 36 credits in anthropology.
Ethnology/Linguistics (36 Credits)
Anth 340 may be included above, depending on subject matter. Anthropology Honors Program REQUIRED Course Work (in addition to 36 hours for major): 1) Anth 498, offered fall semester only. * *In these 6 hours, grades of two A's, OR an A and a B are required.
