A Cultural and Ecological Consideration of the Spread of Agriculture into the
Arid Southwestern United States
Fieldwork
Recent field work centers on late Pleistocene hunter-gatherers and on the arrival
and incorporation of agriculture into arid lands forager economies; in terms
of geographic locations, my work has been in the Southwestern United States;
projects in the last 2 years have been centered in north-central New Mexico and
east-central Arizona
