The Anthropology Media Lab offers graduate students the ability to generate graphics and other graphic-related media. The lab is equipped with 2 machines, with the following specifications: CPU: Dell Dimension 4700c Pentium® 4 Processor 520 with HT Technology
(2.80GHz, 800 FSB) Slide Scanner: Microtek ArtixScan 4000tf - Film scanner - film (1 in x 1.5 in) - 4000 x 4000 dpi - Firewire / USB Printers: HP Business Inkjet 1200dtn - Printer - color - duplex - ink-jet - Legal (8.5 in x 14 in), A4 (8.25 in x 11.7 in) - 1200 dpi x 1200 dpi - up to 28 ppm (mono) / up to 8.1 ppm (color) HP deskjet 540. Each system has Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Pagemaker, Microsoft Office, Microsoft FrontPage, and Adobe elements (to create PDF's). In addition, an external USB CD Burner. Both computers are connected to the server in the main lab. Access to the Media Lab is only available to Anthropology Graduate/Doctorate students. A key is required for entry, which can be obtained in the main Anthropology Office.
