The Anthropology Computer Lab offers graduate students the ability to utilize a number of computers. Each computer is equipped with the latest software available on the UNM Campus as well as access to Departmental servers. The lab is equipped with the following:
- 6 Dell Dimension 5150 Series Pentium 4 630 w/HT Technology (3.0GHz,800FSB), 1GB RAM, DVD+R, and windows XP.
- 4 Pentium 4 (1.4 Ghz) systems with 128MB of RAM, Internal Zip drives (250MB) and Windows 2000 (SP4).
- 1 IMAC with Mac OS 9.2.
- 1 file and print server with 120 GB storage space.
- 1 UMAX Astra flatbed scanner
- 1 Xerox Phaser 4500 Laser Monochromatic Printer
- Adobe Acrobat Professional 6.0 on 1 computer
- Adobe Photoshop 6.0 on 1 computer
- Adobe reader 7.0 on all systems
- Arc GIS 9.1 on 6 computers
- Atlas TI on 1 computer
- Endnote 6.0 on 5 computers
- Firefox 1.5.x on all systems
- I-Tunes and Quicktime on all systems
- Microsoft Front Page 2003 on 1 machine
- Microsoft Office 2003 Premium on all systems
- SAS 9.1 on 7 computers
- SPSS 14 on 1 computer
- Statistica 6.0 on 3 computers
Access to the Computer Lab is only available to Anthropology Graduate/Doctorate students. Students must sign an agreement form in the Anthropology Office before they can gain access.
