The Gold Coast is located on the approximate center of the east coast of Australia, and this crescent shaped coast extends 36 km from the Spit north of the town Surfers Paradise to Coolangatta in the south. At the center of the Gold Coast is the small town Burleigh Heads (population about 9,500), which is the Travelers' Choice 2012 Top Beach Destination in Australia. The Esplanade condominiums are located beachfront near the center of the Burleigh Heads beach. From the Esplanade one has 360-degree views of almost all of the Gold Coast.
