Dr. Nancy Pauly is an Associate Professor in the Art Education Program. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a minor in African and African-American art history. She has a M.A. from the University of Minnesota where she focused on curriculum development and B.F.A. from St. Mary's College in Notre Dame, Indiana with an emphasis in drawing and painting. Nancy has studied art and international social issues in Nicaragua, Cote D'Ivoire, Namibia, and the Philippines. While Dr. Pauly has studied and used DBAE curricula, she advocates for providing students with learning experiences and studio practices that are derived from students' experiences, diverse artistic sources, anthropology, sociology, visual cultural studies, and issues-based art education.
