The College of Arts and Sciences provides a broad-based education in the natural sciences, the social sciences, and humanities that transforms lives and shapes futures. We create and disseminate new knowledge, foster and support scholars and researchers, educate the next generation of professionals and public servants, and developed engaged, cross-culturally literate citizens.

Given its breadth, the College fulfills a unique mission in the University in that its departments and programs not only provide the knowledge that is fundamental to the intellectual and educational activities across the entire campus, they also integrate and contextualize that knowledge in ways that connect students to the past and prepare them for the future.
