Michael Dougher - Associate Dean for Research

As I have been able to discern it in my very short time on the job, the Associate Dean for Research has several different roles.

The role that attracted me initially, however, and the one I am most eager to pursue is to facilitate the research mission of the faculty and students in the College.

The latter includes identifying and removing or alleviating institutional obstacles that interfere with faculty and student research as well as identifying, creating and facilitating opportunities for research funding, collaborative research projects, and interdisciplinary research initiatives.

Happily, we are off to a good start and will have some interesting projects and developments to report soon.
