Research Publications for Arts & Sciences
The College F&A Financial Statement describes our overall use of the funds distributed to the College by the Office of the Vice President for Research based on the generation of F&A (“Facilities and Administration”). F&A is generated when Arts and Sciences faculty and staff spend funds awarded on externally funded contracts and grants. A portion of those generated funds are assigned to the college for the general support of the research activities within the college.
The F&A Generated and Distributed Report displays the total amount of F&A (“Facilities and Administration”) funds generated by each unit within the College of Arts and Sciences, the funds distributed to the College by the Office of the Vice President for Research based on that generated F&A, and the amount then returned by the College to the originating unit or department. As detailed in this report, the OVPR distribution to the College was 35% of the total generated F&A. The College kept 60% (21% of the total) of that figure and distributed the remaining 40% (14% of the total) to the originating unit or department.
