Thanks to the generosity of many donors, the College of Arts and Sciences offers several scholarships to its students. Scholarships are awarded each spring for the following academic year. We will begin accepting applications for the 2008-09 academic year in January 2008.
To be considered for any of these scholarships, you must be enrolled and currently attending at the time of application. Each scholarship has specific eligibility requirements. Many scholarships require demonstrated financial need.
To establish need, you must fill out a FAFSA by March 31 at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
The Dean’s Office of the College, assisted by the College Scholarship Award Committee, chooses recipients for College scholarships. Scholarship awards are administered by the UNM Scholarship Office. Notification of awards will be sent to all applicants on or around April 30.
Some departments in the College of Arts and Sciences also offer department-specific scholarships.
