NSF Scholarships in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics
(S-STEM) UP TO $2,500 (renewable)

DEADLINE: June 15


OPEN to students pursuing a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in at least one of the following disciplines: - Biology - Chemistry - Computer Science - Earth and Planetary Sciences (Geology focus) - Engineering: including Chemical,Civil,Computer, Construction, Electrical, Mechanical, or Nuclear; and students who  have been accepted into the pre-major engineering program intending to major in Engineering or Computer Science - Mathematics or Statistics - Physics or Astrophysics.


ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for this scholarship, you must: - Be a United States citizen, national, refugee or permanent resident alien at the time of application; - Demonstrate financial need as defined by the US Department of Education rules for need-based Federal financial aid (if you have
questions, please check with the UNM Financial Aid office); - Be enrolled full-time (a minimum of 12 credit hours) in any of the above fields during the semester receiving the scholarship; and, - Demonstrate academic potential or ability by having a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00.
