Interested persons are invited to submit abstracts or manuscripts related to engineering education. Topics include but are not limited to the following:

Abstract Guidelines

Authors should submit abstracts electronically to Prof. Bob Greenlee at: bgreen@unm.edu . Abstracts should be 250-300 words.

When the abstract is for a Student Technical Paper, indicate so in your e-mail.

Abstract Only Submission and Student Technical Paper Submission

If you would like to participate, but cannot meet the paper submission deadlines, you can present your talk on engineering education and have only your abstract published in the proceedings. Note that you will still be required to register for the conference and submit an abstract by the abstract deadline (see registration info below and in another link). When submitting your abstract, please indicate that it is an abstract only submission.

Also, when submitting a Student Technical Paper indicate in your submission that it is so and that the first author is a student. A student can participate in conference via the submission of a Student Technical Paper. This Student Technical Paper can be presented in the Student Poster Session (see below).

Abstract only submissions have to be in regard to engineering education and not of pure technical nature. Abstract only submissions are only accepted from non-student co-authors.

Submission of Full Papers

See the Author's Kit for formatting guidelines. Only authors of accepted abstracts can submit full manuscripts for review. Papers will be accepted on the basis of peer review. Accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings on a CD. Final papers must be submitted via email (PDF or MS Word format only) to Prof. Bob Greenlee at: bgreen@unm.edu

Student Technical Papers

ASEE-GSW is also seeking student technical papers in any engineering discipline. The e-mail message accompanying the submission of a student abstract/paper should clearly indicate that the principal author is a student (since papers of a purely technical nature will not be accepted from non-students). The lead/first author on Student Technical Paper(s) needs to be a student. Other co-authors can be faculty members, staff, other students, or other professionals. Also, students participating in the conference with a student technical paper(s) will have to present their paper(s) in a Student Poster Session in order to compete for the Best Student Paper Awards. The Student Poster Session is reserved for the presentation of Student Technical Papers. Students participating in the conference with a technical paper only but not participating in the Student Poser Session can do so but are not eligible for the Best Student Paper Awards. Only a student co-author can present a poster in the Student Paper Competition.

Registration Requirements

In order to make a presentation and have your paper (or abstract) appear in the proceedings CD, your registration fee must be paid by the March 7, 2008 deadline.
