You will be attending lectures, keeping up with the reading
assignment, using the online study guide to do ungraded homework
exercise, and taking weekly pop quizzes.
- Class attendance is required. If you miss more than 2 weeks of
lectures, you will be automatically dropped from the class. Sign up
sheet will only be available at the beginning of the lecture. So,
please be on time.
- You are required to read the assigned text prior to the lectures.
Although in-class student discussions are not graded, your active
participation in answering questions with regard to the reading will
be taken into account when your final grades are at border lines.
- Online study guide is available through a link at my web page where
lists of important topics and many multiple choice questions are
provided for each chapter. If you can answer all the questions
online, you should receive at least a B. So, doing the home work
online is highly recommended.
- The quiz usually involves a total of three multiple choice questions,
one of which will come from lecture material that is outside of the
text. To get all the points, you must learn all the material covered
in the lecture.
- There are also links to cool sites that students of biopsychology
would find interesting. On the final exam, extra credit questions
will be given concerning information given at some of those sites. I
encourage you to go beyond what I lecture.
