Effects of depth and size of Porites species on abundance of Tridacna crocea

In this study I asked the question does depth or size of a Porites sp. coral patch affect the abundance of Tridacna crocea on that patch. Transects of approximately 100 meters were swum at Watson's Bay and Casurina Beach. Porites sp. coral were found with T. crocea on them. The depth, length and width of the coral were all measured and the number of T. crocea found on that coral was recorded. A positive correlation was found between the size of the coral and the abundance of T. crocea at Casurina Beach. Depth had no significant affect on the abundance of T. crocea at either site.
