by birth, marriage, or adoption, of a member of the householder's family, but not
necessarily of the householder.
2/ Members of the armed forces and civilians who were at work during the reference week.
3/ Occupation data for 1990 and 2000 are not comparable due to changes in the
classification system by occupation.
4/ Industry data for 1990 and 2000 are not comparable due to changes in the classification
system by industry. The 2000 employment data by industry are classified according to
the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS). NAICS replaced the Standard
Industrial Classification (SIC) system, which was used to classify 1990 employment
data by industry.
