The first release of sample data from Census 2000 was on May 24th 2002, in the form of three summary Demographic Profiles (DP2, DP3 and DP4). DP1 contains the first summary of 100% data and was released in mid-2001. The links below will take you to a set of all 4 profiles in PDF format. Census Designated Places (CDPs) are delineated by the Census Bureau to provide census data for concentrations of population and housing that are identifiable by name but are not within an incorporated place. These CDPs have no legal status, nor do they have elected officials. CDP boundaries may change from one decennial census to another and a CDP with the same name as in an earlier census does not necessarily have the same boundary.
