New Mexico Statistical Abstract Summaries

The summaries presented in this section were inspired by numerous data tables in the Statistical Abstract of the United States. We used sources cited in the U.S. Statistical Abstract and added updated, pertinent information from these and other sources to create expanded New Mexico summaries for various topics.

Each summary shows data for the latest year available, which varies from item to item. We then show data from the previous year and from ten years ago along with calculated percent changes.

We will be adding new summaries as they are completed. You can find the Statistical Abstract of the United States on the Census Bureau's web site. There you can access files online or order the hardcopy and CD-ROM versions of the report. You can also find CD-ROM and hardcopy versions of the U.S. Statistical Abstract at Federal Depository Libraries in New Mexico. Click here to locate a Federal Depository Library near you. The CDs (not hardcopy) are also available at each of the State Data Center/Business and Industry Data Center Program affiliates located throughout the New Mexico (however you can not purchase a CD from these organizations). To find an affiliate near you look at our SDC/BIDC Affiliates List posted on this web site.

If you have any additional questions regarding the Statistical Abstract of the United States, the New Mexico SDC/BIDC Program, or about socioeconomic data in general, please feel free to contact Data Bank staff at dbinfo@unm.edu.
