First and Second Line Classification

The first line number of Arctic architecture classification defines time period. The second line number of Arctic prehistoric and historic architecture defines region & site name.

Note: As of 7/1994, the images of Arctic architecture cataloged into the collection describe generic examples of structures and were determined not to be site specific by the slide library intern. Future Arctic architecture images that are site specific will need to follow the established standard of the new Tribal collections by developing the second line classification # to reflect the site name.
