elephant is a three piece group formed in 1990 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In their early days, the group was known for loud,abrasive heavy punk, with over the top live shows. Blown hearing, strained vocal chords, and smashed guitars eventually took their toll and the band began seeking a more dynamic sound. When bassist Christina Condon took over lead vocal, songwriter posistion, the band opened a door to new horizons of melody and power. Their new release, "Sweetie" (Science Project # 007), features eleven songs that reveal a personal and insightful point of view, powerfully complimented by the sound of a group with obvious chemistry.
