Spend 2 weeks in Yellowstone
I’m looking for a
volunteer to help me as a field geology assistant in Yellowstone National Park.
We will spend most
days hiking, backpacking and bushwhacking through the Yellowstone
wilderness. We will stop to measure
stream flow in small freshwater streams and springs and to measure stream
channel characteristics. There will be 2
rest days when we can go to any part of the park that you would like to see!
This is a great
opportunity to learn field geology and geomorphology.
It is also an
experience that will look great on your resume: especially if you are a geology
or environmental science student!
Tentative field dates
are June 14-28, but those dates are somewhat flexible depending on your needs.
All travel and
camping costs will be covered.
