1978 - 2008
The
Center for English Language and American Culture (CELAC) at the University
of New Mexico (UNM)
is designed for students who are planning to attend a university in the
United States and for those students who wish to develop college-level
skills in listening, reading, writing, and speaking.
- Applicants
must be at least eighteen years old and have a high school diploma with
a minimum GPA of 2.0.
- CELAC does not offer beginning or basic level classes.
-
CELAC students who satisfactorily complete the English
proficiency exam given as part of the CELAC program are not required
to submit a TOEFL score for admission to UNM academic degree programs.
- Fall 2008 (Begins August 25th)
2-week Summer Intersession Program is cancelled. It is being replaced bt INTL. T.A / English program. Please contact CELAC at celac @unm.edu for more information.
