The
Center for English Language and American Culture (CELAC) at the University
of New Mexico (UNM)
is designed for students who are planning to attend a university in the
United States and for those students who wish to develop college-level
skills in listening, reading, writing, and speaking.
Applicants
must be at least eighteen years old and have a high school diploma with
a minimum GPA of 2.0.
CELAC does not offer beginning or basic level classes.
CELAC students who satisfactorily complete the English
proficiency exam given as part of the CELAC program are not required
to submit a TOEFL score for admission to UNM academic degree programs.
2-week Summer Intersession Program is cancelled.
It
