Rembrandt Stokhof de Jong
Instructor
BA in Art History and Spanish, Whittier College

Remmy is a graduate student in the Language Literacy and Sociocultural Studies (LSSS) department at UNM. He completed a TESOL certification from the School for International Training (SIT) in 2003 and began teaching with the Literacy Volunteers of New Mexico. This experience encouraged him to take on a full year position teaching ESL at an elementary school in Taiwan. Having finished an exciting year he felt like continuing his education and moved back to New Mexico.

After studying speech pathology and linguistics for a year Remmy decided to stick to his original love of teaching language and began to pursue an MA degree in LLSS. He enjoys making stained glass and watching movies in his free time.
