This will be the sixth summer (2005) that the students have a
common focus in the area of environmental and water resources
engineering. The projects cover the spectrum of Civil Engineering
interests. Students will learn about the research process, their
specific research topic, and how to present their results both
orally and in written form. The students will make informal presentations
to the directors and invited guests throughout the program and
more formal presentations at the end of the program. Professors
Stormont and Coonrod will assist the students in learning
skills for effective presentations.
Each student will receive a $4300 stipend for 9 weeks of work
from June 6 through August 5 of 2005. In addition, out-of-town
students will receive on-campus housing at no charge.
