Steps
to Teaching Your Puppy to Sit!
There are 5 steps
you need to learn to teach your new dog how to sit. After you have read
all 5 steps, click on "Buddy" the Puppy and she'll bring you to
Puppyland where you can show us what you have learned!
Buddy
1. Call your puppy by name. When she is right in front of you and looks at you, praise her a lot with “good puppy”.
2. Once you have your dog's attention, hold a treat about the level of the puppy's nose.
3. As your puppy begins to smell the treat, slowly move the treat back until its located slightly over the top of her head.
4. As the puppy tries to reach for the food, continue to move the treat toward your puppy's tail, repeat the command “sit” several times.
5. When she sits, praise her with
nice words and say "good dog!"
