Financial Aid
You can visit UNM's Financial Aid website for valuable information. The new Student Financial Aid Guide is available on the web. You are encouraged to apply electronically by using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid at FAFSA. Remember that UNM's priority date is March 1. You can contact the UNM Financial Aid Office for help either by e-mail at or by dialing 505/277-2041.

Students whose applications for financial aid are received at the Central Processor by March 1 of each year are given priority for Supplemental (SEOG) or State (SSIG) Grants, Work-Study, Perkins Loans and/or UNM Grants. UNM has a very limited amount of those funds, and priority is given to students who meet both the March 1 priority date and the individual program requirements.
