  The benefits of membership in AWC are networking on the university and professional level. Members can participate in a mentoring program that links a professional in the field with the student for the purposes of career development, networking, resume preparation, and job-hunting assistance. AWC meetings are usually focused on a topic that benefits students from all areas of the professional communication discipline (print, broadcast, public relations and advertising).
