Project Goal and Objectives
The Project GoalThe project goal is focused outward.
The project goal is the purpose. It translates the vision into an action statement, and frames the vision in terms of benefits to the community. The project goal lays out the “who, what, when, where, why and how” of the project, in terms of benefits to the community.
The ACLCP Project GoalTo strengthen the whole child-physically, cognitively and linguistically, socially, and emotionally- by connecting them with:
1) Structured learning experiences during out-of-school time2) Frequent and varied involvement in reading and writing activities, and;
3) Positive and frequent interactions with caring literate adults from their neighborhoods.
Objective 1: Reading/Language Arts
Each year, increasing percentages of students who participate regularly in this program will meet or exceed state standards in language arts as evidenced by results of statewide assessments.
Objective 2: MathEach year, increasing percentages of students who participate regularly in the program will meet or exceed state standards in math as evidenced by results of statewide assessments.
Objective 3: BehaviorEach year, increasing percentages of students who participate regularly in the program will exhibit high levels of resiliency as evidenced by teacher reports and developmental assets surveys.
Objective 4: EnrichmentEach year, students and families will have access to a broad menu of enrichment activities to complement academic programs and promote high levels of participation and satisfaction.
