Vernomanus in Nature

Vernomanus species have been in decline for the last 200 years for unknown causes. With rare exceptions, specimens collected in the 20th century have been limited to aquatica (fresh water) and brevicaulis (short stemmed land plants). These recently discovered photographs were believed to have been taken by a researcher in Indiana in the 1950s and represent the most complete documentation of Vernomanus in its natural habitats.
