Tim Boyle

Education:
Post-Doc, University of California - Irvine, Prof. W. J. Evans
Ph.D., Inorganic Chemistry, 1990, University of Kansas, "Synthesis and Reactivity of -Phenolic Chromium (0) and Titanium Binaphtholate Compounds"
B.S., Chemistry, 1985, George Mason University, Fairfax, VA 22030

Research Interests:
We are interested in the development of novel precursors to produce tailored-made ceramic materials with improved processing using (i) sol-gel, (b) metallo-organic vapor deposition (MOCVD), and (c) nanoparticle techniques. Currently we are investigating ferroelelectric thin films, lithium ion batteries, and nano-photonic devices.

Professional Activities:
Member, Materials Research Society
American Chemical Society: Inorganic Division Member
