In New Mexico
Out of town participants need to make their own living arrangments in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Out-of-state students should maintain close contact with the co-director, Margo Chávez-Charles at the University Honors Program, University of New Mexico, telephone: (505) 984-2126, fax: (505) 277-4271.
The field session will start in Salamanca, where we stay three days in a local hotel and the rest of the program (four weeks) will be in Trujillo. During the Conexiones field session, storks, seasonal residents of Trujillo, nest in town towers and roofs.
In Salamanca, participants will stay in a reasonably priced hotel and in Trujillo participants will be placed with local families accustomed to boarding Conexiones students.
Students will live with a host family in Trujillo, a city whose history and architecture represents in itself the history of Spain (from Iberians and Romans, Moors and Christians, to the famous Spanish nightlife, modern architecture and cyber cafés).
