Microsoft Excel is a powerful, yet easy to use, spreadsheet program and can be applied to a variety of financial management and scientific computing needs. This 12-hour course introduces the basic features of creating and using a spreadsheet: tool bars, formatting cells, entering formulas, the built-in SUM function, and relative versus absolute references. Students will create several spreadsheets in class to reinforce the material presented. Prerequisite: Beginning Macintosh (5100).

This 16-hour course builds on the Beginning Excel course and covers more advanced functions, built-in database features, lists, and charting, which allows the user to quickly create graphical presentations of data. It also provides a brief introduction to automating calculations through the power of macros! Prerequisite: Beginning MS Excel for the Macintosh (5124).
