Microsoft Word is the most popular word processing program for the Macintosh. It is powerful, yet easy to master because of its logical approach to document production. This hands-on 12-hour course will start with the basic elements of a word processing program, including creating and editing text, spell checking, and document format options. Moving on, the class will cover more editing features, such as cut, copy and paste; find and replace, and tabs and indents. Students will complete exercises in class that reinforce the material presented. Prerequisite: Beginning Macintosh (5100).

This 16-hour course will build upon the skills taught in the beginning Word class. Topics covered include: creating tables, applying styles, formatting columns, mail merge, using templates, the section command, page number control, headers and footers, and a table of contents. Students will complete exercises in class that reinforce the material presented. Prerequisite: Beginning MS Word for the Macintosh (5118).
