5080 Beginning AutoCad (14)

This 32-hour course will teach the fundamentals of computer assisted drafting (CAD). You will learn how to operate various input and output devices. CAD and manual drafting methods are compared and contrasted. The AutoCAD screen layout and menu structures will be presented. Numerous exercises are done in class to reinforce the use of drawing and editing commands. Fundamentals of drawing organization and layer management are stressed throughout. Effective usage of blocks, fonts, and automatic dimensioning features will be explored. A practice lab is available for student use. Prerequisite: Beginning Windows 95 (5305).

5081 Intermediate AutoCad (14)

This 32-hour course will teach effective use of block and attributes. How to establish standards that promote conformance while allowing users to complete tasks. Numerous exercises are done in class to reinforce the use of drawing and editing commands. You will learn how to create your own menus, custom toolbars and complex linetypes. Stop settling for AutoCAD out-of-the-box. A practice lab is available for student use. Prerequisite: Beginning AutoCAD (14).
